Introducing Farmsent - A Blockchain-Powered Agriculture Ecosystem
Farmsent is the world's first blockchain-powered platform founded by Yog Shrusti, an entrepreneur and agricultural trade visionary. He identified a critical imbalance - in a $5.6T global agriculture market, farmers often receive less than 10% of the value they produced. Middlemen, unclear pricing, and inefficient supply chains were the key reasons.
His goal wasn't just to build an app, but to rewire the entire agricultural trade model using blockchain. Our experience in smart contracts, RWA tokenization, and decentralized architecture turned his vision into a practical, scalable solution.
The Core Problem - A Broken Agriculture Trade System
Global agriculture wasn't failing because of outdated tech - it was being controlled by middlemen who owned the flow of value.
Farmers Were Losing the Most
With very little control over pricing, farmers receive less than 10% of final value. Most revenue goes to middlemen, while delayed payments further limit growth.

Direct Farmer-to-Buyer Marketplace
We built a decentralized B2B & B2 C trading platform that connects farmers directly with buyers while removing intermediaries. It includes Quotation Request Orders (QRO), real-time bidding, and smart contract-backed deal execution for flexible and transparent trade.
Farmers now receive fair pricing directly - with zero intermediaries taking a cut between the farm and the buyer.

Blockchain Traceability with DePIN
We designed a data-driven traceability system where sensors capture data such as soil health, moisture, & temperature and record it on the blockchain. Each product gets a secure digital identity through NFTs & DePPs, verifiable by scanning a QR code from anywhere.
This strengthened buyer confidence with end-to-end product transparency.

Smart Trade Finance Infrastructure
We developed a smart contract-powered financial layer to reduce delays, improve farmer cash flow, and eliminate financial exploitation. Fair Future Contracts (FFC) ensure farmers sell at the current market price and not based on prices locked months prior.
Farmers are no longer forced into outdated prices. Farmsent helps them sell at real-time market rates, every time.

RWA Tokenization & $FARMS Token
We enabled real-world assets (RWA) tokenization by converting agricultural assets into digital representations on the blockchain. The ERC-20 $FARMS token supports payments, governance, rewards, and staking across the platform.
This created liquidity, improved access, and unlocked new financial opportunities in the agricultural economy.

Digital Identity & Farmsent Wallet
We built a secure digital identity system with Web3 wallet integration to make onboarding and usage simple. Blockchain-based IDs give farmers a secure, verifiable identity, and the Farmsent Wallet supports easy transactions with crypto and tokenized assets.
This enabled secure and smooth access to the platform for all stakeholders.

Decentralized Auction System (FDAS)
We implemented a decentralized auction system (FDAS) using an English auction model with NFT-backed bidding. Each bid is verifiable and non-fungible, ensuring fair competition and transparent pricing for both buyers and sellers.
This improved price discovery, reduced manipulation, and made procurement more reliable and efficient.

Sustainability & FCOP
We built a carbon offset system (FCOP) to align agricultural trade with sustainability goals. It tracks the carbon footprint of each transaction and offsets it through verified carbon unit providers, promoting eco-friendly trade practices.
This positioned Farmsent as a green and responsible agricultural platform supporting more sustainable trade.

Ecosystem Foundation for Farmers
We supported a foundation layer that reinvests a small portion of platform earnings into farmer welfare and ecosystem sustainability. Includes crop insurance, fertilizer access, AgriTech education, and community support during harvest seasons.
This helped strengthen long-term trust, improve adoption, and build a more resilient ecosystem.

Unified Super App
We built a unified Super App to make Web3 easy to use for both farmers and buyers. Manage everything from onboarding to transactions in one place. Features include wallet abstraction, built-in wallet, real-time payments, and multi-chain support (peaq, Polygon, Ethereum).
It reduced adoption barriers, made the platform more accessible, and accelerated growth of a scalable Web3 agricultural ecosystem.
How We Built Farmsent - From Idea to Scalable Platform
Discovery & Architecture Planning
We deep dived to gather the Farmsent team's requirements. Then mapped user journeys (Admin, Farmer, & Buyer), built the platform structure, and defined the blockchain infrastructure strategy before writing a single line of code.
UI/UX Design
As most farmers aren't tech savvy, we focused on designing simple, role-based interfaces to ensure easy navigation and accessibility for users from different backgrounds.
Smart Contract Development
We built smart contracts in Solidity for Fair Future Contracts (FFC), the Decentralized Auction System (FDAS), token vesting, and payments. Optimized on Polygon to reduce gas fees & keep transaction costs affordable for small-scale farmers.
Full-Stack Platform Development
Our team built the complete platform: frontend (Angular/ReactJS), backend (Node.js with Express.js), and databases (MongoDB & PostgreSQL). We developed web apps for Admin, Farmer, and Buyer, plus a mobile app for farmers.
Blockchain & Web3 Integration
We added blockchain features for transactions and wallet access, connected wallets for easy use, and linked real-time sensor data to the blockchain to ensure clear and reliable product tracking.
Security, QA, & Deployment

How Farmers Get Paid - Fast, Fair, and Without Middlemen

Order Confirmation
When the buyer sends a QRO and the farmer accepts, a Fair Future Contract (FFC) is created. The agreed price is locked, protecting farmers from last-minute changes.

The buyer's payment is safely locked in a smart contract and is only released after delivery is completed successfully - ensuring transparency for both parties.
Shipment & Delivery Confirmation
Once the farmer ships the product, the buyer confirms delivery and quality via QR code scan. The smart contract receives confirmation automatically.
Payment Released Instantly
When delivery is confirmed, the smart contract releases the full payment to the farmer's wallet - without middlemen or delays.
Farmer Withdraw or Reinvest
Farmers can withdraw earnings as local currency, hold tokens for rewards, or reinvest within the platform for future agricultural trade transactions.
